Disapointment, Loneliness, Sadness…all necessary feelings we experience. However we rarely welcome them. We don’t say “Gee I think I will feel lonely today.” So they come as a surprise at first and with time they become as a visitor that refuses to leave (1.800.SUICIDE or your local crisis line are good resources should depression lead to suicidal ideation)- unless we are in our Grace On You space!!!
Grace On You space works best when it is welcomed regularly like your favorite cup of coffee in the early morning!!! So get into your Grace On You on you space then…
1) Acknowledge/Define “I feel lonely.” 2) Allow/Sit With It “Ouch -this is what lonely feels like” 3) Be curious and brave/What is my part “I haven’t called anyone in three weeks and I did turn down those two invites I recieved. 4) Do Something Different “I will . . . NOW”
Get into your Grace On You Space and make it a point to notice all of your feelings today!!! Notice the feelings that feel good on like your favorite Confetti Sweater you might wear every Friday. But especially notice the uneasiness that comes from someone else perhaps having a bad day and doesn’t quite convey their message in a Grace On You way! Finally number 5) Extend your Grace On You space to them!!!
