Day Two of the Recovery Coach Academy where
“Transformed People… …Transform People”
Another day filled with life transforming information, and individual and group exercise that compels us to truly get to know who we are and be open to all the different types of Recoveree’s we will be working with!
Today began at 8:30 and went to 4:30 then again at 6:30 to 8:30 – therefore this will be a short post!
A story about a story heard!!! A renegade Catholic priest who got shuttled around from one place to another asked a Jewish Rabbi “What’s a blessing?” Usually the answer comes in the form of a question or another story. In this case it was a story!
In the bible in the book of Genesis water was created, air was created, the birds and the bees were created – all were good. Man was created and it does not say it was not good. “What does that mean?”
God spoke Hebrew and responded “TOVE which meant complete.” Water was complete. The robins were complete. Air was complete. Man was not. He was full of shortcomings – full of holes. Blessings push and bulldozes us toward more completeness.
Blessings pull me toward completeness.
Our jobs as coaches pulls the folks we work with – Recoverees. What the trainers are trying to do is move us toward being more complete. And at the same time let us know that It’s okay to be full of holes. Let’s work toward being more complete!
I am so grateful to be a part of this cutting edge user friendly harm reduction focus approach! What I am learning here today is certainly helping me achieve My Grace Filled Life after Addiction!
Blessings!!!
