The following is a thank you note from Sean Chavez to all volunteers and supporters!!! Guadalupe could only stay until 11:00 am however between 9:30 am and 11:00 a lot took place!!!
Volunteers were taking surveys as police officers collected the huge amounts of RX drugs. It was unbelievable to see so many drugs – some in garbage bags others in Victoria’s Secret bag which recieved a lot of attention!!! The people who brought the Rx drugs ranged from warm and friendly to seemingly waking up and with an attitude of let’s get this job done!!! My favorites were the doggies that insisted on barking there answers to the surveyors!!! It’s as if they insisted on being counted!!!
Some volunteers I recognized from the 4/20 event so it was like a reunion filled with more good energy!!! Others didn’t know about 4/20 Digital Filmmaking and After Party and made a mental note to attend next year!!!
Getting to know and making new friends with “Laine with an I” and CC who impressively filled her survey sheet by 10:30 was fabulous!!! Some of the students who heard why I had to leave presented eager to participate in next years Flash Mob to Beyonce Move Your Body Video!!! But that’s a whole other story!!! For now here is a special thank you from Sean Chavez!
